Perez to save Real’s season with a Champions League win

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes that despite the team’s poor start to the season, the situation can still be turned into a positive finish. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

According to Diario AS, Perez stresses that a UEFA Champions League triumph would fully justify the early difficulties under Xabi Alonso.

Real are currently 7th in the Champions League league-phase standings with 12 points after six rounds. In La Liga, the Madrid side sit 2nd on 48 points, just one point behind leaders Barcelona. The Whites have also already been knocked out in the Copa del Rey round of 16 and lost to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.
