Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has joined Girona on loan until the end of the season. The 33-year-old German shot-stopper will defend the White-and-Reds’ colors through the end of the current campaign. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
Ter Stegen said that before deciding to leave Barcelona temporarily, he spoke with defender Eric Garcia. Earlier, Garcia also gained experience through a loan spell at Girona and got his career back on track.
According to the goalkeeper, Eric spoke warmly about the club and the atmosphere there: “In Girona, they accept you quickly; there’s a family atmosphere.” Ter Stegen also congratulated Garcia, who has now become an important player for Barcelona, and noted that his Girona loan could be a good example for others.
On January 26, Michel’s team will host Getafe at home in La Liga matchday 21.
