Iraola Aims for First Points Against Liverpool

Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola spoke with journalists ahead of the Premier League's 23rd round match against Liverpool. The game will start on January 24 at 22:30 (Tashkent time). This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
The coach also discussed the club's new player, Alex Scott. According to Iraola, Scott will be ready to play in the match: normally, more time would be given for adaptation, but given the team's current situation, he needs to help quickly. The coach emphasized that Scott has a good character and hopes he will be beneficial as soon as possible.
Regarding transfers, Iraola stated that Scott is currently the club's only acquisition. He mentioned that the management is working on the market and understands the need to strengthen the squad further, but it will take some time. He also refrained from commenting on 'Ryan', reminding that the player does not belong to Bournemouth.
The coach did not hide the team's difficult situation: he noted that Bournemouth lacks sufficient strength in the attacking line, especially on the wings.
Speaking about Liverpool, Iraola recalled an interesting statistic: Liverpool is the only opponent he has not been able to earn points against in his coaching career. He mentioned that this obstacle has been present for two and a half seasons and now he wants to achieve a result, although he acknowledged it won't be easy.
Currently, Bournemouth is in 15th place in the league table with 27 points. Liverpool, on the other hand, is in 4th place with 36 points.
