Aitor Karanka, who worked as an assistant to Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, spoke about one of the tense situations that occurred within the team.
He stated that after the Copa del Rey match against Valencia, Mourinho issued a harsh reprimand to the team's star player, Cristiano Ronaldo. This happened in front of all the players, and the Portuguese player reacted very emotionally.
"Cristiano almost burst into tears. He looked at Mourinho and replied: 'But I was so supportive of you...'" Karanka said.
According to the expert, Mourinho might have deliberately orchestrated this situation in this way. Because he wanted to criticize Ronaldo in front of the entire locker room, showing that he saw him as the most trusted player in the team.
