Samarkand's "Dinamo" club has signed a contract with Kingsley Sarfo, a former footballer convicted of committing a sexual offense against a minor. This was reported by the team's press service.
It is noted that the Samarkand club has signed a one-year contract with the 30-year-old Ghanaian midfielder.
For information, Kingsley Sarfo has played for Cypriot club APOEL for the past four years.
According to open sources, the footballer was accused of committing a sexual offense against a 14-year-old girl while playing for the Swedish club "Malmyo" in 2017. According to Swedish law, sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 15 is considered a crime of child rape.
According to the court's decision, Kingsley Sarfo was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison, as well as deported from the country and sentenced to compensation in the amount of 150,000 Swedish kronor in favor of the victim.
