Young Uzbek boxers prepare for tournament in Minsk

From April 22 to 27, Minsk, Belarus, will host an international open boxing tournament dedicated to the memory of V.V. Botvinnik, an Honored Coach of the Republic of Belarus. Young athletes born in 2010–2011 will compete in the ring for nearly a week to determine the winners.
The Uzbekistan national team will participate in this prestigious competition with a full roster. Both boys and girls will enter the ring to represent the country in their respective weight categories.
The boys' squad includes the following boxers:
-46 kg: Abdulloh Ziyavitdinov,
-48 kg: Mustafo Tursunboyev,
-50 kg: Ilyos Zarifboyev,
-52 kg: Islombek Furqatov,
-54 kg: Ogʻabek Otamurodov,
-57 kg: Hojiakbar Mirzamahmudov,
-60 kg: Ulugʻbek Soliyev,
-63 kg: Abdurahmon Murtazayev,
-66 kg: Muhammadsodiq Muqimov,
-75 kg: Amirxon Salohiddinov.
The girls' roster features:
-46 kg: Rayhona Alimxanova,
-50 kg: Nafisa Bosimova,
-54 kg: Sabina Mirzayeva.
The coaching staff includes Muminjon Ahmedov, Aliyor Noraliyev, and Nodirjon Irgashev. Jahongir Soliyev will serve as the team’s referee during the competition.
According to the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, this tournament is an important stage for young athletes to gain international experience, test their skills, and prepare for future major competitions.
