London's Arsenal Football Club has made contact with the representatives of Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler. Mikel Arteta intends to sign the Turkish talent to expand the team's creative options. The Gunners also attempted to acquire the player in 2025, but the Madrid club declined the offer at that time. This was reported by Goal.com.
Arteta views the 21-year-old player as a suitable successor for Bukayo Saka or a top-level alternative to Martin Odegaard. During the 2025-26 season, Guler appeared in 50 matches for Real Madrid, being directly involved in 20 goals. Currently, Chelsea is also in the race for the player.
Nevertheless, those close to the player emphasize that the transfer is unlikely to happen. Guler is satisfied with his career in Spain and does not intend to leave the team despite strong competition for the starting lineup. Real Madrid management also has no plans to sell the player, who is considered an essential part of their long-term project.
Currently, Arda Guler is focused on recovering from an injury sustained at the end of the season and participating in national team training camps. Arsenal, meanwhile, will continue to monitor the situation throughout the summer transfer window. If Real Madrid's financial demands or squad plans change, the London club is prepared to immediately submit a formal offer.
