In an interview with TNT Sports, Salah revealed that he had a private dinner with Gerrard at his home. He emphasized that the former captain's advice served as a turning point in his decision-making process.
"I am very happy with our conversation. People didn't know you came to my house.
You shared your opinion, and I appreciate it," Salah said, addressing Gerrard.
Gerrard advised Salah to leave on his own terms, consistent with his status as one of the greatest players in the club's history. Salah has scored 257 goals for Liverpool, ranking third on the club's all-time top scorers list.
The forward is currently recovering from an injury sustained during the match against Crystal Palace. Although he will miss the game against Manchester United, he expressed confidence that he will return to the pitch before the final match of the season.
