Inter may abandon transfer of Tottenham goalkeeper

According to reports in the Italian press, Inter are reconsidering their plans regarding the transfer of Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. Although the parties had reached an agreement on personal terms, the Serie A champions are exploring the possibility of abandoning the deal entirely. This is reported by Goal.com .
Initially, Guglielmo Vicario was seen as the primary goalkeeper to start a new era at San Siro. Although Tottenham is demanding approximately 20 million euros for the player, the Inter management prefers to direct funds toward strengthening other areas of the squad.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter's decision is influenced by the performances of Josep Martinez. The club intends to rely on Martinez as the first-choice goalkeeper following the departure of Yann Sommer.
The 27-year-old Josep Martinez joined from Genoa during the 2024 summer transfer window. Inter's management aims to balance the squad by utilizing existing options rather than spending a large sum on a new goalkeeper.
