Gary O'Neil accuses Strasbourg owners of ruining transfer policy and club culture

Strasbourg head coach Gary O'Neil has sharply criticized the club's owners, the BlueCo consortium. According to him, this group, which also owns Chelsea, has undermined the team's potential through misguided transfer policies and an unhealthy environment within the club. This is reported by Goal.com .
The specialist, who noted that the team weakened rather than strengthened during the January transfer window, stated that the recall of players on loan from Chelsea and changes to the squad negatively impacted the team's performance. In O'Neil's view, the multi-club model focuses more on managing Chelsea's assets than on Strasbourg's interests.
In an interview with L'Equipe following a draw against Angers, the coach said the team needs new strikers and that the club's culture must be fundamentally changed. He accused the players of lacking fighting spirit in recent matches and warned that a major squad clear-out could occur at the end of the season.
Gary O'Neil did not hide his dissatisfaction with his players' lack of activity on the pitch. He reminded them that the football world is ruthless and that every match should be treated like a final, emphasizing that every player must prove themselves to remain in the team next season.
