Trent Alexander-Arnold included in England's provisional squad

Thomas Tuchel has submitted England's 55-man provisional squad list to FIFA for the 2026 World Cup. The list includes several star players who were previously left out, according to Goal.com reports.
The inclusion of Real Madrid defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was the biggest surprise. Tuchel had previously excluded him from his core plans, but defensive injury concerns forced the manager to reconsider his decision.
With Ben White currently sidelined with a knee injury and Tino Livramento in the recovery process, the door has reopened for Trent Alexander-Arnold to head to the World Cup. This could be the player's final chance to prove himself in a prestigious tournament.
Brighton forward Danny Welbeck has also been named in the expanded squad. He has been in consistent form this season, scoring 14 goals under Fabian Hürzeler. Young talent Alex Scott also remains on the manager's radar.
Thomas Tuchel is expected to trim the 55-man list soon and announce the final 26-man squad that will travel to North America.
