The new season of the prestigious Diamond League athletics competition has kicked off in Shanghai, China. Uzbek athletes are testing their skills in this tournament, which features the world's top track and field stars.
Anvar Anvarov represented our country in the men's long jump. In a tense competition against strong rivals, the Uzbek athlete performed well and finished the event with a bronze medal.
Anvarov recorded a result of 8.01 meters, securing third place. This performance once again demonstrates our athlete's steady growth on the international stage and his readiness for high-level competition.
Victory in the long jump went to Italy's Mattia Furlani. He recorded a jump of 8.43 meters, surpassing all his rivals. With this mark, Furlani set the best result of the competition.
Second place went to Bozhidar Saraboyukov of Bulgaria, who earned the silver medal with a jump of 8.07 meters. Anvar Anvarov finished just 6 centimeters behind him to secure a spot in the top three.
