Pep Guardiola reveals the biggest mistake of his Manchester City career

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made an unexpected admission at the end of his decade-long tenure at the Etihad Stadium. The Catalan tactician, whose departure has been officially announced, reflected on his biggest regret, specifically regarding former goalkeeper Joe Hart. This is reported by Goal.com .
Upon arriving in Manchester in 2016, Guardiola sidelined the club's long-time goalkeeper Joe Hart. At the time, the manager replaced him with Claudio Bravo in the starting lineup, and Hart was sent out on loan after just one Champions League qualifier. Now, the 55-year-old manager admits that his decision was unfair from a professional standpoint.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Guardiola said: "I want to admit something. I have regrets. When you make many decisions, mistakes happen. I have one regret that I have kept inside for many years: I did not give Joe Hart a chance to prove himself. I should have told him: 'Joe, let's try this together, and if it doesn't work, we'll change it later'."
The exclusion of the English goalkeeper completely transformed Manchester City's defensive system and later paved the way for the arrival of Ederson. Guardiola emphasized that while he was firm in shaping his style, he made a mistake in his human approach regarding Joe Hart.
"Sometimes I am not fair enough. At that time, I was very stubborn in my decisions. The club supported me, but looking back now, I should have handled the situation with Joe Hart differently," the manager added.
