Apple moves iPhone 16e production to Brazil

Apple moves iPhone 16e production to Brazil
Apple has officially begun assembling the iPhone 16e in Brazil, marking a shift in its manufacturing strategy, pepelac.news reported.

Previously, local production started months after launch. Now, it begins on day one, with boxes labeled “Assembled in Brazil — Brazilian Industry” and model numbers ending in “BR/A”.

According to Anatel, the 16e is produced in Brazil, China, and India. While its official price is around $890, local buyers find it for $670 due to tax exemptions on domestic goods.

Apple is expanding its production in Brazil with Foxconn to reduce costs and U.S. tariff risks while strengthening its presence in South America.
