At the September Apple Event, the company introduced its most powerful iPhones yet — the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, as reported by Rozetked. These new devices bring a fresh design and performance leap across the board.
One standout change is the camera podium, now spanning nearly the full width of the phone’s back. The camera sensors remain in place, but LiDAR and flash have switched sides.
Apple ditched titanium and returned to a unibody aluminum frame, which disperses heat 20 times better. For wireless charging, a Ceramic Shield glass window has been integrated into the rear panel.
Up front, the new Ceramic Shield 2 is three times stronger, now with anti-reflective coating for better visibility.
Inside is the powerful A19 Pro chip, featuring 6 CPU cores (2 performance), 6 GPU cores, and the second-gen Dynamic Caching system. Performance in sustained tasks is up to 40% faster than iPhone 16.
For the first time, iPhones now include a custom vapor chamber cooling system, aided by the heat-efficient aluminum body.
Camera-wise, all three rear lenses are now 48MP: main, ultra-wide, and telephoto. The telephoto supports 8x optical zoom, plus a 4x mode. There's a new 3D sensor-shift stabilization system for better shots.
The front camera is 18MP and supports Center Stage for better framing during video calls.
Professional users will love the addition of ProRes RAW video recording, fully compatible with Final Cut Camera and Blackmagic Camera apps.
