Internet completely shut down in Afghanistan
The Taliban government in Afghanistan has cut off internet and communication services nationwide. Reports say the country is currently experiencing a “total internet blackout.”

The Taliban did not state the reason for the decision. According to them, telecommunication services will remain shut “until further notice.”

Local residents said the internet was cut off on Monday evening. Experts warn such outages cause serious harm to the economy and daily life.

Since coming to power, the Taliban have imposed strict restrictions. Women have been deprived of education, and human rights issues are banned. The internet shutdown has become the latest restriction.
