Specialists from Shanghai's Jiao Tong University have successfully developed a new technology that allows for the extraction of drinking water from atmospheric air. This was reported by China Daily.
The development utilized methods of condensation, absorption, and heat pump. This technology can be very effective, especially in regions with low humidity and hot conditions.
Engineers from Shanghai also presented an autonomous station powered by solar panels - the AtmosWell device. It produces up to 50 liters of water per day, allowing it to operate at temperatures from 15 to 40 degrees and humidity from 35 to 99 percent. This device does not require an infrastructure connection and is not larger than a small bus stop.

In addition, a platform with a capacity of 1.6 thousand liters of water per day has been created. This platform is very convenient for islands, small settlements, and hotels in remote areas, allowing for stable water production in them.
Thus, these technologies have little impact on the environment and are becoming one of the new methods of water supply.
