France, India and Malaysia ask to curb Grok deepfakes

The governments of France, India and Malaysia demanded that X and its xAI subsidiary take immediate action regarding the operation of the AI chatbot Grok. This was reported by playground.rureports.

Officials say Grok’s latest update enables the creation of sexually explicit deepfake images, including illegal content involving minors. The feature is reportedly being used to produce explicit content using women’s likenesses without consent and to distribute it widely on the social network X.
