Starlink active users doubled in the first quarter

The satellite operator "Starlink", part of Elon Musk's "SpaceX", has seen its monthly active users (MAU) and app downloads more than double in the first quarter compared to last year. According to analysts from "Apptopia", this growth trend has persisted for four consecutive quarters. Reports 3dnews.ru.

Expansion is driven by both developed and emerging markets. Brazil showed significant growth, increasing its active user base fivefold to account for 13% of all subscribers. Argentina also saw a 159% increase in users. In the United States, app downloads reached a record 1.2 million in the first quarter, tripling year-on-year figures.

This surge comes as "SpaceX" prepares for a potential public offering. Investors view "Starlink" as the primary driver of the company's valuation, which is estimated at approximately $1.75 trillion. Expert estimates place the operator's revenue for the previous year at $11.4 billion.

With total subscribers exceeding 10 million as of February, investors suggest that the next phase of development for "SpaceX" may involve the creation of orbital data centers.
