Chinese scientists have developed a method to produce jet fuel from carbon dioxide

Scientists at the Shanghai Institute for Advanced Studies of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have developed an industrial method for producing aviation fuel from carbon dioxide. This was reported by Ixbt.com xabar beradi.
The new technology is based on an iron catalyst modified with potassium and aluminum. This allows for the acceleration of reactions and the control of carbon chain growth.
In laboratory tests, the catalyst operated at a temperature of 330 degrees and demonstrated high efficiency. It maintained stable, continuous operation for 800 hours.
Experts note that there is a high potential for scaling this method from the laboratory to an industrial level. Currently, commercial projects for the production of synthetic aviation fuel are emerging in China.
