Thinking Machines plans live interaction with artificial intelligence

Thinking Machines, a startup founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, has introduced a new technology that completely changes the way we interact with artificial intelligence. Currently, users communicate with platforms like ChatGPT or Google in turns: you speak, then the system responds. The new model aims to make this process as natural as a phone call. This is reported by Techcrunch.com .

The TML-Interaction-Small model developed by the company is based on "full duplex" technology, which allows it to process information and prepare responses even while the user is speaking. This enables the AI to interrupt or actively participate in the conversation. The system's response latency is only 0.40 seconds, which is very close to the speed of natural human conversation.

For now, this technology is in the research phase and is not open to the general public. Thinking Machines plans to release a test version for a limited group of users in the coming months, with a full release planned by the end of the year.

Experts note that the technical performance of this solution is very high. However, the real-world effectiveness of the AI and its convenience for users will only be known after large-scale testing.
