As part of his visit to China, US President Donald Trump is bringing 16 major business leaders with him. According to Reuters, the delegation includes Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg, and GE Aerospace CEO Larry Culp. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
This meeting aims to restore trade relations between Washington and Beijing and ease tensions between the two countries. The parties are discussing the establishment of new trade forums and expanding agreements on the supply of agricultural products, energy resources, and aviation equipment.
For Boeing, this visit is of particular importance. For the first time since 2017, China may place orders for Boeing aircraft, including up to 500 737 MAX jets and dozens of wide-body airliners. Extending the temporary truce in the trade war and the supply of rare earth metals are also on the agenda.
Interestingly, the head of Nvidia was not included in this delegation. The White House is currently focusing on aviation and the agricultural sector, as these are the areas where the largest deals are expected to be signed.
