Gosuslugi account hacked to register 55 people at a stranger's address

In Nazran, Russian Interior Ministry officers uncovered a fraud scheme. A 37-year-old woman from Kogalym, in collusion with unknown persons, gained unauthorized access to the personal account of a Nazran resident on the Gosuslugi portal. This was reported by Ixbt.com reports .

Without the victim's knowledge, the criminals registered 55 Russian citizens at their apartment on Moskovskaya Street. According to the investigation, this registration was carried out to illegally obtain child benefits and payments for pregnant women.

The fraudster independently submitted applications on behalf of the 'tenants' via the Gosuslugi portal. During a search, technical devices used for the hacking, as well as 45 passports and powers of attorney belonging to citizens of Dagestan, were found and seized as evidence.

A criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspect has been placed under a travel restriction, and the investigation is ongoing.
