Samsung is preparing to introduce a new tool in its One UI 9 firmware to help users focus. According to Connectivity Labs, this feature, called "Network management for concentration," allows users to completely restrict internet access for specific apps or entire categories of programs. Unlike traditional screen time limits, this system works at the network level. As a result, selected social networks, games, or streaming services lose their internet connection, preventing them from distracting the user. Users can set individual restrictions for browsers, games, and other app groups.
This tool not only boosts personal productivity but also provides convenience for parental control. A six-digit PIN is required to change restrictions, which prevents accidental disabling of settings. The system also includes a "Downtime" mode, allowing users to schedule automatic internet disconnection for specific time intervals.
