Amazon's Bee Smart Bracelet: Personal Assistant or Spy

I recently had the opportunity to test the Bee AI gadget, which was acquired and updated by Amazon. This device acts as a personal assistant like other AI gadgets: it records daily conversations, transcribes them, and prepares summaries. If you sync it with your calendar, Bee also sends you reminders about your daily plans. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

The device's operating principle is very simple: you turn it on, connect it to the Bee mobile app, and wear it on your wrist. You can control the recording function via a special button—a green light stays on during the recording process. Once the conversation ends, the app automatically provides a summary and a full transcription of the dialogue. This can be especially useful for users who have many meetings and tend to forget important details.

From a privacy perspective, wearing a device that constantly listens to conversations feels a bit uncomfortable. However, in a professional environment, Bee justifies itself. For example, during work meetings and phone calls, it works as accurately as services like Otter or Granola. The app segments the conversation, which helps find necessary information without re-listening to the entire audio recording.

It should be noted that Bee is not yet perfect. Transcriptions can sometimes be confusing, and the names of interlocutors need to be entered manually. It was also observed that it occasionally misses parts of the conversation. One interesting experiment was when we were watching the movie "Reservoir Dogs" with friends; Bee correctly assessed the situation and titled the final report "Tarantino movie scene analysis."
