Gigabyte introduces technology to accelerate single-channel DDR5 memory up to 8400 MT/s

Gigabyte has announced its new D5 Single Boost technology aimed at increasing memory performance. This innovation allows for automatic memory acceleration on compatible hardware. As a result, single-channel platforms with one module approach standard dual-channel systems in terms of bandwidth. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

D5 Single Boost technology is compatible with Gigabyte Intel Z890 and B860 motherboards and requires DDR5 memory modules based on SK Hynix M-Die chips. Once a compatible module is installed, the system detects and activates the optimization process automatically without manual user configuration.

The BIOS flexible adjustment mechanism analyzes the installed module in real-time. Precise adjustments are made to the timings and voltage of individual chips to ensure stable and high performance during every system boot. This helps reduce system assembly costs in an environment of high memory prices.

Gigabyte states that D5 Single Boost technology allows for up to a 10% improvement in frame rates (FPS), load times, and overall system responsiveness in AAA games and benchmarks. This technology is expected to be particularly useful for those building budget-friendly yet efficient computers.
