The weather is expected to change drastically next week
On March 23-25, the weather is expected to change dramatically across the republic, with humid and relatively cool air masses entering Uzbekistan, the Uzhydromet Agency reports.

Rain will fall across the republic, in some places it will be heavy, and thunderstorms may be observed. There is a possibility of rain turning into snow in the mountainous regions of the republic.

On March 23-24, the wind speed will increase to 13-18 meters/second in some places, and in some places it may increase to 20 meters/second.

The daytime air temperature will gradually decrease to +12…+17 degrees.

Also, due to the expected rains on March 23-27, in the foothills and mountainous regions of the republic, including:

Kashkadarya region: Yakkabag, Dehkanabad, Chirakchi, Kitab, Shakhrisabz, Kamashi, Guzar districts;

Surkhandarya region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Altynsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherabod, Shorchi, Kumkurgan, Muzrabod districts;

Samarkand region: Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurabad, Kushrabot, Kattakurgan, Payarik, Jamboy, Ishtikhan districts;

Navoi region: Khatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimekh, Karmana districts;

Jizzakh region: In Zamin, Bakhmal, Gallaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, Yangiabad districts;

Tashkent region: In Ahangaran, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Pskent, Urta Chirchik, Yukari Chirchik districts and in the cities of Angren and Almalyk;

Namangan region: In Pop, Kosansoy, Chortok, Chust, Namangan, Yangikurgan districts;

Fergana region: In Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana, Besharik districts;

Andijan region: In Andijan, Asaka, Zhalakuduk, Kurgantepa, Pakhtaabad, Izboskan, Khojaabad, Markhamat districts and in the city of Khanabad.

"We ask citizens living in foothills and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling in mountainous areas to take precautionary measures," the report says.

There is a possibility of rainwater accumulation across the republic, which could lead to flooding of areas.
