
In the coming days, hot weather typical of summer months is expected across Uzbekistan. According to Uzhydromet, from May 5 to May 7, dry and hot weather will dominate throughout the country.
According to meteorologists, from Monday to Wednesday, daytime temperatures will rise to +35...+38°C. In southern regions and desert zones, it may reach up to +40°C.
Experts note that such temperatures are significantly above average for early May. Usually, such heat is more characteristic of June and July.
However, this hot spell will not last long. Starting from May 8, air temperatures across the country will begin to drop. And on May 9, the Day of Remembrance and Honor, the temperature will significantly decrease to around +27…+32°C.
In addition, on May 8, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some parts of Karakalpakstan. On May 9, this weather will spread to central and eastern regions.
Strong winds are also forecast in some areas. Specifically, from May 5 to 7 in northern regions and desert zones, and from May 8 to 9 across the entire country, wind speeds may reach 13–18 m/s, with gusts up to 20–22 m/s and the possibility of dust storms.

In the capital, from May 5 to 8, the weather will be sunny and dry, with temperatures ranging between +33…+36°C. On May 7, the peak is expected at +36…+38°C.
However, on May 9, the weather will change abruptly. Short-term rain and thunder are possible. The temperature will drop to around +27…+30°C.
