Hot and dry weather is coming to Uzbekistan: temperatures will rise to 42 degrees
After a series of damp and cool days in Uzbekistan, a real summer is beginning again. The Center for Hydrometeorological Service of Uzbekistan (“Uzhydromet”) has warned that dry and slightly warm air currents are entering the territory of the republic from the south this week.

In recent days, our country has been experiencing quite comfortable and only mild temperatures for the summer season. However, starting from Friday, a sharp change in the weather is expected: mainly partly cloudy skies, relative dryness and a noticeable increase in temperature.

From the beginning of the new week, daytime air temperatures across the republic will be around +33…+35 degrees. During the holidays, the heat will increase even more, and in some regions, in particular in the northern, southern and desert regions, the air temperature may rise to +40…+42 degrees. This will be one of the highest temperatures observed in recent years.

According to forecasters, in some areas the wind speed may reach 13-18 meters/second, and dust storms may be observed in some places. Also, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in mountainous and hilly areas. This increases the risk of mudslides and floods.

In Tashkent, mainly partly cloudy and sunny weather is expected. On Friday afternoon, the temperature in the capital will be around +35 degrees, and on Saturday and Sunday - +36…+38 degrees. The probability of precipitation is very low.

Experts urge the population to be careful on hot and dry days, take necessary measures during wind and dust storms, and prepare in advance to protect themselves from water shortages and heat. It is emphasized that citizens living in areas with a risk of mudslides and floods should increase their precautionary measures.

Thus, the hottest and driest days of summer are beginning. All our compatriots are advised to be careful, maintain water balance, protect themselves from sunlight and be aware of natural hazards.
