On July 22, during his visit to Jizzakh region, Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of new projects planned for implementation.
It is noted that over the past six months, 200 projects in industry, services, and agriculture have been launched in Jizzakh. The region received $662 million in investments. In order to further increase efficiency, a “Reforms Headquarters” was established in Jizzakh region, Zomin district.
In particular, based on the “one-stop shop” principle, an “Agrocenter” was established, bringing together all agricultural services in one place. New approaches aimed at increasing productivity have had a positive effect on the quality of food products in the region and have enabled the population to earn more income.
Jizzakh region is becoming a base for the development of potato growing. Today, at the Zomin scientific experimental station, primary seed production of 12 varieties, both foreign and local, has been launched.
There are also plans to sow leguminous crops, as well as to build pumping stations and main pipelines on the canal in Zarbdor district.
It is emphasized that a modern tourism center will be built on the shore of the “Aydar-Arnasay” lake system in Jizzakh.

- We are working to bring industry to the districts and provide jobs for people. In places that used to be steppes, modern enterprises are appearing. Our people earn income both from their crafts and from their household plots. But this is the result of today. A new generation is growing up, the knowledge and demands of our youth are increasing. We must create opportunities for their employment and good living in advance. If the opportunities are used correctly, Zomin district can become a region free of unemployment, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In the new center of Kukdala district, a palace of arts, an art school, a general education school, and a sports complex are being built side by side. The head of state emphasized that this should be convenient for children and noted that this approach should be applied in future projects as well. Now, based on this experience, the construction of a palace of culture and an art school is also planned in Zomin district. The palace of culture will have 300 seats and will serve more than 45,000 residents of the district center.
Officials were given instructions regarding the implementation of these plans and the development of socio-economic sectors.
Thus, the president's visit to Jizzakh region came to an end. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
