On the eve of the Independence holiday, in order to create convenience for the population, sales of discounted products have been launched at the capital’s dehqan (farmers’) markets. According to the organizers, at these special stalls a wide selection of various goods necessary for daily needs is being presented, and customers can find a solution that matches their budget.
At these points of sale, along with local producers, various types of beef and mutton brought from Belarus, Pakistan, Mongolia and India have been put on offer. In addition, fruits, vegetables and food products delivered from the regions are also being offered to buyers’ attention — efforts are being made to maintain a balance between seasonal assortment, quality and price.
Meat prices have been set from 65 thousand soums to 90 thousand soums. Through this, taking into account purchasing power, the possibility of choice expands, and the population will be able to form the family table in an economical manner.
This initiative is aimed at meeting the daily needs of the population, countering price increases in the market and ensuring overall price stability. It is envisaged to maintain uninterrupted supply through constant monitoring at trading sites and the alignment of supply and demand, and for buyers, quality and acceptable prices should be a priority.
