In one of the private clinics in Tashkent, a 9-year-old child passed away during rhinoplasty surgery. This incident led to the initiation of a pre-investigation check by the prosecutor’s office. The event occurred on August 25. According to reports, the child underwent a medical check-up at the clinic a week prior, and on August 25, they underwent surgery to reconstruct the nose. Unfortunately, after the surgery, the child did not regain consciousness and passed away.
Hayot Shamsuddinov, the spokesperson for the General Prosecutor's Office, confirmed this tragedy and reported that an investigation has begun. According to him, the case is currently being investigated by the prosecutor’s office of the Mirzo-Ulugbek district.
The prosecutor's office emphasized that the investigation will be conducted comprehensively, impartially, and thoroughly, and a legal decision will be made at the conclusion. Additionally, this case could lead to a review of public trust in medical services.
