Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Special Representative of the US President

On August 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Special Representative of the US President for Global Partnerships, Paolo Zampolli, who is on a working visit to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, issues of further expanding the strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the USA were discussed in detail.
The ongoing fruitful contacts at various levels were noted with particular satisfaction. Effective cooperation has been established in the field of security, combating terrorism, extremism, and illegal migration.
The USA is traditionally an important economic partner of Uzbekistan. In 2024, trade turnover increased by 15 percent. The project portfolio exceeded $11 billion.
More than 100 leading US companies participated in the Tashkent Investment Forum held in June of this year.
The significant potential for promoting cooperation projects in the fields of mineral resources, aviation, electrical engineering, agriculture, digital technologies, finance, innovation, education, and other priority areas was noted.
The importance of developing regional cooperation within the framework of the "C5+1" format was emphasized.
The schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events was also considered.
