On the eve of Independence Day, joyful news was announced for the residents of the capital and city guests. According to the Tashkent city administration, on August 31 and September 1 all paid parking lots will operate completely free of charge for drivers.
Since these two days are designated as official holidays and the Independence Day is widely celebrated in the country, no fees will be charged for using parking lots. In addition, no fines will be applied for non-compliance with established rules.
According to the city administration, the main purpose of this initiative is to create additional convenience for residents of the capital and visitors, to reduce traffic congestion, and to further enhance the general festive atmosphere on holiday days.
Thanks to this specially introduced procedure, drivers will be able to leave their cars freely even in the city center. This, in turn, will further simplify the opportunity to participate in holiday events, walk with family members and loved ones, and attend concerts and celebrations.
The Tashkent city administration reminded of the need to use this opportunity effectively, to observe order, and to treat public property with care.
Thus, on Independence Day, festive spirit will prevail not only in shops and squares, but also additional ease and convenience will be created for drivers.
