The press service of the Ministry of Ecology reported that during the first 8 months of this year, a number of important and positive changes have been implemented in order to improve the quality of the atmosphere of the city of Tashkent, to maintain clean and healthy air.
It is noted that in the period from January to August 2025, 1452 objects were inspected, at the same time, 174 night raids were organized, and 281 violations of the law were identified. During this process, administrative protocols were drawn up against 154 persons, and applications were submitted to the court to temporarily suspend the activities of 20 enterprises. Also, 179 cases of violations of the law were eliminated.
It is important to note that during this period, 11 modern boilers, 19 effective filters, and 12 dust collectors were installed. These measures are aimed at reducing the impact of enterprises on the environment and improving air quality in the regions.
In 2025, it is planned to plant 200 thousand saplings of trees and shrubs by 60 large construction materials manufacturers and other enterprises of categories 1-2. These measures will contribute not only to the greening of the city, but also to ensuring environmental sustainability.
In the first stage of the "Clean Air" month (April 10 - May 10), which is held annually in two stages, 40,050 vehicles were inspected in Tashkent. In 586 of them, the amount of harmful gases emitted into the atmosphere exceeded the norm, and the shortcomings were eliminated in the prescribed manner. As a result of these measures, the release of 4.7 thousand tons of harmful emissions into the atmosphere was prevented.
