Uzbekistan is building a 2.1 GW capacity NPP

A combined nuclear power plant with a capacity of 2.1 GW is planned to be built in Jizzakh region, reports Kursiv media site. Two main reactors will have 1 GW each, and two additional units will have 55 MW each.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, this plant will produce more than 15 billion kWh of electricity annually by 2035 and will play an important role in developing industry in the region.

The construction of the NPP will serve to attract investments to Jizzakh and increase the production capacity of enterprises such as the automotive industry.
