Data on the number of foreign students who came to study in Uzbekistan for the last 8 months of this year have been published. According to the National Statistics Committee, 14,216 foreign students entered the country for educational purposes during this period. This indicator increased significantly compared to the corresponding period of last year and amounted to 3,179 more people, the growth rate reached 28.8 percent.
With the number of students from abroad, Uzbekistan clearly demonstrates the growing international attention in the field of education. The largest number of students came from Turkmenistan, their number is 4,603. The lowest number of students came from the Republic of South Africa - 98 people.

It was also reported that as of the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year, the total number of foreign students studying in higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan is 12.5 thousand people. It should be noted that the number of students from abroad in Uzbekistan is growing every year, which leads to an increase in the country's prestige in the international educational arena.
