In Uzbekistan, 2141 civil servants are planned to be laid off by the end of October. Artificial intelligence systems will replace these jobs, Dunyo reported, citing Ukrainian sources Correspondent and TCN.
According to reports, this decision was made within the framework of large-scale reforms aimed at updating and improving the efficiency of public administration. The reforms include the use of modern digital technologies, the introduction of market mechanisms, and the transfer of some state functions to the private sector.
According to the source, the main goal of the changes is to make the activities of executive authorities more effective and reduce administrative costs.
Reductions are mainly carried out in the State Tax Committee, the Ministries of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Justice. At the same time, some positions in other agencies are expected to be abolished.
The document notes that the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations and the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan are obligated to provide practical assistance in the employment of dismissed employees.
These changes are assessed as the next important step towards the digitalization of the state system.
