President of Serbia Vucic arrived in Tashkent on an official visit

At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and his wife arrived in Tashkent on an official visit on October 28. At the Tashkent International Airport, the head of state was solemnly welcomed by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, as well as officials of the government and the presidential administration.

The visit was organized with the aim of raising the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries to a new level, and the program provides for high-level talks, a number of strategic agreements, and the signing of documents.

During the meetings, the leaders of the two countries will discuss issues of deepening industrial cooperation, promoting joint projects in the agricultural and pharmaceutical sectors, and strengthening partnership in the field of information technology and digitalization. At the same time, the main agenda includes prospects for cooperation in the fields of tourism, education, and cultural exchange.

Following the negotiations, it is planned to sign a package of bilateral agreements. These documents will further strengthen political, economic, and social relations between Uzbekistan and Serbia.

In addition, the heads of the two states will exchange views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda. It is emphasized that both sides support the development of peace, stability, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

For information, Alexander Vucic will travel to Samarkand after official meetings in Tashkent. There, he participated in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference as an honorary guest.

According to observers, this visit will take relations between the two countries to a new level. The upcoming talks in Tashkent will define new areas of full-scale partnership not only in the economic, but also in the humanitarian sphere.

This dialogue between Uzbekistan and Serbia not only serves the interests of the states, but also plays an important role in strengthening multifaceted ties between Central and Southeastern Europe.
