
On November 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, departed for this country on a working visit. This was reported by the press service of the President.
Within the framework of the visit, the head of our state will take part in the Second World Summit on Social Development, which will be held in Doha. The summit is dedicated to issues of sustainable development, improving the living standards of the population, and deepening social reforms on a global scale.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to speak at this prestigious forum and express his views on the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in the areas of social policy, education, medicine, and population support.
In addition, high-level bilateral meetings are planned in the program of the visit. During the conversation between the head of state and Qatari officials, economic cooperation, investment projects, and joint programs in the energy sector may be discussed.
It is expected that the visit will serve to further strengthen the relations of friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.
