Children of medical and pharmaceutical workers with at least 15 years of service in state medical institutions received additional benefits in higher education. According to the president’s decree, they will have 30% of the annual bachelor’s program contract covered in universities across the country.
However, this amount cannot exceed 15 times the base calculation, currently 6,180,000 UZS. The decree applies to all students if their parents meet the stated criteria.
The initiative aims to support specialists in medicine and pharmacy and assist their children in higher education. Part of the contract payment will be covered by the state.
Experts note that this regulation will increase access to education for children of medical workers and enhance their interest in higher education.
