A new major phase of urban development in Tashkent has commenced. During a meeting held on December 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced that several massive investment projects will be carried out in the capital. Among the largest is the Uchtepa City complex.
It was reported that this project will cover an area of 37 hectares in the Uchtepa district. With a total value of $1 billion, a modern urban environment with advanced infrastructure will be created. The project includes plans for the construction of a high-end hotel, major business centers, shopping and entertainment complexes, as well as modern apartments.
Additionally, large-scale construction projects of a similar "city" format will be undertaken in the Chilanzar, Yakkasaray, and Olmazor districts of the capital. These areas are expected to see the implementation of new projects worth a combined total of $2.5 billion.
According to the president's statement, the Mirzo Ulugbek, Yunusabad, Mirobod, and Yashnobod districts will become centers for innovative development. In these areas, projects worth $1 billion specializing in artificial intelligence, startup ecosystems, fintech, finance, healthcare, and education will be launched.
Experts emphasize that such investment initiatives play a crucial role in enhancing Tashkent's economic potential, creating new jobs, and establishing a modern, comfortable environment for residents. The capital is steadily transforming into one of Central Asia's most advanced metropolises.
