Abdulaziz Aqqulov has been appointed head of the Tourism Committee

A new head has been appointed to the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology and Climate Change. According to the presidential press service, Abdulaziz Akkulov has been appointed to this position.

It is noted that Umid Shodiev, who worked as the chairman of the committee, was relieved of his duties due to his transfer to another job. Official information about his future activities has not yet been released.

Abdulaziz Akkulov was born in 1985 in Jizzakh region. He graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics. During his career, he worked as Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports, as well as First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development.

Prior to his new appointment, Abdulaziz Akkulov served as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the United Arab Emirates.

For information, the Tourism Committee was established in July 2023, and Umid Shodiev served as its first head.
