On December 30, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the construction site of the Sharq Bahori residential complex in New Tashkent and inspected one of the completed apartments. Podrobno.uz reports.reports.
Sharq Bahori is considered one of the first projects aimed at meeting housing demand in New Tashkent. One of the country’s largest housing construction initiatives, the complex is being built on 95 hectares and will include high-rise buildings designed for about 15,000 households.
A green zone is planned within the complex, with more than 15,000 trees and shrubs to be planted. The buildings will be equipped with autonomous heating and cooling systems, and the rooftops will be fully covered with solar panels.
A significant portion of the construction has already been completed. Modern energy-efficient “A+” category materials are being used.
Underground parking facilities will be built for residents’ cars. A park, a metro station, as well as administrative and public buildings are planned within a 5–10 minute walk from the complex.
According to the head of state, modern infrastructure for 600,000 residents will be created in New Tashkent at the first stage. Once the project is fully completed, the area is expected to turn into a major мегаполис designed for 2 million people.
Earlier, the president also personally inspected the construction of key infrastructure facilities and new administrative buildings in New Tashkent.
