Uzbekistan Airways will update ticket usage rules from January 2026 for domestic passengers who нарушили the route sequence. The airline said the changes apply only to flights within the country. Podrobno.uz reports.reports.
Under the new procedure, even if a passenger misses the first or any earlier leg of the itinerary, the booking for subsequent segments will remain valid and the journey can be continued. However, the value of unused legs will not be refunded—only airport fees can be refunded.
Such tickets with a missed segment will also not be allowed to be reissued for another date or flight.
For international routes, the current rules remain unchanged: if a passenger does not show up for the first or an earlier segment, bookings for subsequent legs are automatically canceled. In this case, the passenger may refund or exchange the ticket in accordance with the selected fare conditions.
The airline emphasized that the domestic-flight changes are aimed at simplifying conditions for passengers and do not affect international flights.
Meanwhile, after reports of a large-scale global recall due to a software error affecting Airbus A320 aircraft, Uzbekistan Airways said the A320s in its fleet have been updated and continue operating without restrictions.
