A new housing benefit has been introduced in Uzbekistan for specialists working in healthcare and the pharmaceutical sector. From now on, the state will cover part of the initial payment for certain employees purchasing a home through a mortgage. This was reported by podrobno.uz. reports .
Under the established procedure, 500 medical and pharmaceutical workers with at least 15 years of service in state medical institutions will be able to use this support. For them, 25% of the mortgage down payment will be paid by the state.
According to officials, the measure is aimed at providing social support to healthcare personnel and increasing their motivation to work long term. The benefit took effect on January 1, 2026.
