Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of the credentials from Guido de Sanctis, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Uzbekistan. This was reported by podrobno.uz reports .
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of Uzbekistan–Italy cooperation and prospects for its further development. Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, investment and economic ties, as well as strengthening practical cooperation.
It was also emphasized that encouraging direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries and consistently deepening partnership is important. In conclusion, Bakhtiyor Saidov wished the Italian diplomat success and effective work in Uzbekistan.
