On social media, reports spread that in the Uchkuprik district of Fergana region, a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by several individuals.
In this regard, Dilnoza Azizova, a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and a member of the “National Revival” faction, emphasized the need for immediate measures regarding cases of sexual violence against children.
The main proposals of the deputy are:
- Sharply increase penalties for sexual crimes against minors;
- Introduce an open, publicly monitored registry for individuals who commit sexual crimes against children;
- Establish a mandatory preventive system for child protection at the level of schools, mahallas, and families;
- Strengthen the mechanism for continuous psychological and legal support for affected children funded by the state.
The deputy emphasized that these measures are crucial for protecting children and preventing violations of the law.
