In Almazar district, tens of millions of dollars were directed to healthcare: details of the president’s visit

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Almazar district and reviewed the operations of the new multidisciplinary Sinomed medical center. The visit is seen as a practical continuation of the policy announced by the head of state on November 10 last year—supporting the private sector in healthcare and expanding its capabilities. This was reported by podrobno.uz. reports .

It is noted that private clinics currently provide nearly 30% of medical services in the country. The government aims to further improve conditions in this area and expand the scale of private institutions’ activities.

The Sinomed center is a major $30 million project, and the clinic is equipped with modern technologies. High-tech equipment was brought from the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, and Germany.

The center can admit up to 4,500 patients per year. Medical care is provided in areas such as surgery, pediatrics, traumatology, orthopedics, and endocrinology.

Special attention has been paid to staffing capacity: more than 300 jobs have been created, and the number of doctors exceeds 80. Over 60 of them have studied and completed internships at leading clinics in South Korea, Germany, Turkey, India, and the United States. Foreign specialists also work at the center, and services are organized to international standards.

One of Sinomed’s distinctive features is the launch of Tashkent’s first private maternity complex. It can accommodate 30 women at the same time. The president reviewed in detail the monitoring system—from pregnancy registration to postnatal care.

The head of state emphasized that high-quality prenatal monitoring relieves women of unnecessary anxiety and helps build a culture of healthy motherhood.

The center’s infrastructure also includes the country’s largest private vaccination point and the only specialized sterilization center in the non-state sector. For residents’ convenience, call centers and mobile patronage teams for home visits have been set up.

The clinic’s management plans to increase bed capacity and expand preventive programs for children in the future.

In a conversation with the team, the president noted the return of qualified doctors to the country and the introduction of advanced experience and knowledge into practice through them as one of the most important outcomes of the reforms. He also stressed the importance of healthy competition, stating that an increase in private centers will give people more choice and ensure a balance between service quality and prices.
