Starting from the new academic year, a number of benefits are being introduced in Uzbekistan to encourage education and scientific research among women. In particular, the state grant quota for girls from needy families has been doubled to 4,000. This change will expand higher education opportunities for thousands of young people.
Also, the state will cover tuition fees for girls studying in master's programs in partnership with universities ranked in the top 300 prestigious international rankings. This step will be a major boost for talented youth to gain knowledge based on international standards.
Furthermore, vocational training for girls who enter state technical schools after school will be fully funded by state grants. This is intended to help young people find their place in the labor market and become qualified specialists.
To support women's innovative ideas, startup competitions will be held annually in at least 10 areas. It has been determined that the Innovation Fund will allocate grant funds of up to 500 million soums to the winner of each area.
